Time off to train: no extension to smaller businesses or any other changes (News, 8 July 2011)

The right to request time off for study or training (1) will not be extended to employees of organisations employing fewer than 250 staff 'for the foreseeable future', (2) will not be repealed as regards the larger businesses to which it already applies, (3) will continue to be governed by its existing procedures, and (4) will be kept under review, according to the Government's formal response to the August 2010 consultation.
