FORTHCOMING CHANGES: An Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) consultation between 2 October 2024 and 3 January 2025 sought responses on a proposed update to the statutory Code of Practice on services, public functions and associations, to reflect significant developments in legislation and case law since the Code was first published in 2011. Following the Supreme Court judgment in For Women Scotland v Scottish Ministers, having issued a statement in which it said that it would be working ‘at pace’ to incorporate the implications of the judgment into the updated Code, and an interim update on the practical implications of the UK Supreme Court judgment on 25 April 2025, the EHRC launched a consultation on further updates to the Code of Practice, between 20 May 2025 and 30 June 2025.
