The Financial Stability Board (FSB) has announced the nomination of the governor of the Bank of England (BoE), Andrew Bailey, to serve as the next chair of the FSB for a three-year term starting on 1 July 2025. The nomination was unanimously agreed upon by the Nomination Committee and will be formalised by the FSB Plenary on 1 June 2025. Bailey, who has held various significant roles in financial regulation and supervision throughout his career, is currently the chair of the FSB’s Standing Committee on Supervisory and Regulatory Cooperation (SRC).
