The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has updated its webpage on the notification and disclosure of net short positions to note that it has now undertaken a second review of the list of exempted shares (LES) as required under Article 16 of the UK Short Selling Regulation (SSR). This review included shares admitted to trading on UK trading venues in November and December 2022. As a result, a revised LES will be available on 1 April 2023 and will replace the existing list. The webpage provides an update on the FCA’s work done so far, and details of the upcoming changes.
