The Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) has issued an order in Euro Garages Limited v Visa Inc. and Others, a claim for damages against merchant interchange fees (MIFs) set by Visa. Following its transfer to the CAT in April 2022, the CAT (in its order dated 7 March 2023) has designated Euro Garages’ action against Visa as an additional ‘host case’ so that ‘Ubiquitous Matters’ will be disposed of in the MIF Umbrella Proceedings.
