The Basel Committee has released consultative documents on proposed principles for operational resilience, as well as views on updating its principles for the sound management of operational risk (PSMOR). The Committee believes that, given the critical role banks have in financial systems, increasing their resilience and enabling them to better absorb shocks will help safeguard the entire financial system. Comments should be submitted by 6 November 2020.
