FCA ‘Regulating for Growth’ speech addresses crypto regulation and AI testing initiatives
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published a speech delivered by its Chief Data, Information and Intelligence Officer, Jessica Rusu, outlining the regulator’s strategic focus on innovation and technology to drive growth and competitiveness in the UK financial sector. The speech accompanies the FCA’s proposals in Consultation Paper 25/5 on the regulation of cryptoasset firms. Rusu also addressed the launch of Open Finance and broader Smart Data initiatives, and next steps in the developing the UK regulators’ Scale-Up Unit, which aims to support engagement with fast growing firms.
