New information published about the Fit for Work service for England and Wales explains that: (1) GPs in Sheffield and the areas covered by Betsi Cadwaladr UHB can already refer employees to the service for occupational health assessment; (2) the service will be rolled-out for GP referrals across the whole of England and Wales from 9 March 2015 to autumn 2015, and (3) employers will be able to refer employees to the service for occupational health assessment from autumn 2015 once the roll-out to GP practices has ended. In Scotland: (1) GPs in Lanarkshire, Lothian and Tayside can already refer employees to the service for occupational health assessment, and (2) roll-out will extend to the remaining NHS Board areas and to employers in spring 2015.
