The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute’s Research and Policy Center has issued a document on a voluntary Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Code (DEI Code) 2023 for the UK investment profession. This includes six core principles (Pipeline, Talent Acquisition, Promotion and Retention, Leadership, Influence, and Measurement) with the aims that these are appropriate for all signatories yet remain accommodating to various implementation strategies. The DEI Code brings ambition for all signatories to commit to ‘real change’, by having ‘stimulating conversations’, and ‘making the necessary investment of resources’. Furthermore, all signatories are to commit to continuous improvement through ‘learning and adapting’.
