FCDO announces joint sanctions against Israeli ministers over West Bank Violence

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has announced joint sanctions with Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Norway targeting Israeli ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, for inciting violence against Palestinians in the West Bank. The sanctions form part of diplomatic efforts to address settler violence and settlement expansion while maintaining support for Israel's security. The joint statement emphasises the five nations' commitment to a two-state solution and calls on the Israeli government to end extremist rhetoric and uphold international law obligations.
