The government has issued a new Statement of Changes in Immigration Rules HC 1019, together with an Explanatory Memorandum (EM). The changes, which will take effect for applications for entry clearance and permission to stay submitted on or after 15 February 2022, are made further to a joint Department of Health and Social Care/Home Office announcement on 24 December 2021 (see: LNB News 04/01/2022 61), and will make jobs in occupation code 6145 (Care workers and home carers) eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route in each nation of the UK.
