The guidance states that the concession permitting the Home Office to disregard a short break in immigration status and/or continuous residence will only apply where the individual was unable to travel back to the UK due to coronavirus travel restrictions, and their permission expired between 1 March 2020 and 19 July 2021 (previously 30 June 2021).
