The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has reported the removal of Plan B measures, following the success of the coronavirus (COVID-19) booster programme, which gave strong protection against the Omicron variant. According to the government's announcement, people will not be advised to work from home, face coverings will no longer be mandatory in indoor venues and organisations can choose whether to require NHS COVID passes. England is expected to fully return to Plan A on 27 January 2022.
