New subtopic on handling data subject requests

Published on: 31 October 2018

Article summary

Data subjects’ rights in respect of their personal data have been extended under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Responding to a data subject request to exercise their rights can be onerous and in most cases you cannot charge the data subject for complying with their request. With this in mind, it is essential to put in place appropriate procedures for handling the full range of data subject requests, to make the process as efficient as possible and minimise the risk of non-compliance. To help you, we have created a new subtopic on handling data subject requests.
