Practice Compliance analysis: Over two years after launching its ‘Looking to the Future’ consultation process, the SRA has gained the Legal Services Board (LSB)’s approval to its proposals to rewrite (and rename) the SRA Handbook. The LSB announced on 6 November 2018 that it had approved the SRA’s application to reform its rulebook in full, paving the way for major changes to the way in which solicitors and firms can practise. If you want a reminder of what the SRA proposals entail and what to expect in the new rules, we have produced a new Practice Note setting out the background to the reforms, the key proposed changes and the guidance the SRA is planning to produce.
