35 Possession on notice

Where a council1 has, for the purposes of allotments, agreed to purchase or hire land subject to the interest of the person in possession, whose interest is not greater than that of a tenant from year to year, the council may at any time after the agreement, after giving not less than 14 days’ notice to that person, enter on and take possession of the land or such part as is specified in the notice without previous consent.
