50 Entry on unoccupied land

A London borough or district council or, in Wales, a county or county borough council may, after 14 days’ notice, enter on any land which is not the subject of rateable occupation1, and which is not agricultural land and does not fall within certain excepted categories, for the purpose of providing allotment gardens2. The excepted categories are land of local authorities, certain land of public undertakers, commons, town or village greens, land dedicated for public recreation, land forming part of the New Forest and trust property of the National Trust3
