41 Carrying a compulsory hiring order into effect—notice to treatWhen the district council, or a county or county borough council in Wales, requires to compulsorily hire any land authorised to be hired by a compulsory hiring order it must, within three calendar months after confirmation of the order, serve notice to treat; and must, within 21 days of receipt of particulars of a tenant’s interest, give notice whether it desires to extinguish that interest1.
