Companies House has updated its guidance dated 26 June 2020 to accompany the Corporate Governance and Insolvency Act 2020 as regards the temporary extension of filing deadlines for public companies to state that ‘if your filing deadline fell between 26 March 2020 and 26 June 2020, we’ll extend your deadline retrospectively’. Previously, the date range was 26 March–25 June 2020. The temporary extension applies to public companies with a filing deadline between 26 March and 29 September 2020 whereby the deadline is extended to the earlier of 30 September 2020 and 12 months from the end of the accounting period.
