34.5 Offences

The offences connected with the promotion or facilitation of an unlawful lottery include advertising the lottery, and the printing, distribution, publication or possession of promotional material relating to the lottery1. In addition a person commits an offence if he invites, causes or permits a child under 16 years old to participate in a lottery2. Where any offence under the Gambling Act 2005 is committed by a company, a director, manager or secretary of the company (or a person purporting to act as such a person) can also be liable if the offence was
