49 Mail order

49.1 General

Mail order advertisements must contain various disclosures in order to comply with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. These include the name and address of the supplier of the products offered for purchase by mail order; the main characteristics of the products; the price; the requirements for payment; and, subject to certain exceptions, the existence of the statutory right of cancellation introduced by the 2000 Regulations1.
