405 Agricultural buildings and other operations

The first limb of the definition of development set out above encompasses a range of operations all of which result in some physical change to the land. Such activities would include the erection of buildings and the demolition of dwelling houses and excavations for any purposes (including agricultural purposes such as, for example, the construction of reservoirs)1.
