408.4 Class C permitted development rights

Class C (broadly, the working of minerals on agricultural land) is limited to a far lesser degree, but includes the provision that no mineral extracted during the course of operation shall be moved to any place outside the land from which it was extracted except in very limited circumstances. The general grant of planning permission is therefore limited to situations of bona fide agricultural use for mineral working and generally does not permit commercial exploitation of mineral reserves.
