Similar procedures to purchase notices1 exist in respect of the service of blight notices. The blight notice procedure enables a person interested in land to require an authority with compulsory purchase powers to acquire the land on notice if he is unable to dispose of his interest other than at a price significantly below its market value or at all on account of its being blighted by a proposal by that authority2.
