127 Grants and the duties of ministers in respect of sites of special scientific interest

Where a grant application is made as respects expenditure incurred or to be incurred for the purposes of activities on land notified as a site of special scientific interest, the minister responsible for determining the application must, so as far as is consistent with the purposes of the grant provisions, exercise his functions as to further the conservation of the flora, fauna or geological or physiographical features by reason of which the land is of special interest1.
