146 Existing notifications

Where there is an existing notification in place in respect of an European site, under Section 28 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, Natural England and the Natural Resources Body for Wales have the power to amend it to take into account the requirements of the Habitats Directive. Notice of any amendment has to be given to every owner and occupier of the land within the site who, in the opinion of Natural England and the Natural Resources Body for Wales, may be affected by the amendment together with the local planning authority1.
