145 Management agreements

Natural England and the Natural Resources Body for Wales can enter into a management agreement with a person with an interest in the land forming part of or adjacent to an European site for the management, conservation, restoration or protection of the site or any part of it1. The agreement can cover land that is outside the boundary of the European site. Special areas of conservation and special protection areas will be designated as sites of special scientific interest and there may be land within the site of special scientific interest which falls outside the European site.
