Dispute Resolution analysis: In Bing Holdings Inc and another v Hue-Williams [2017] EWHC 3149 (QB), an application to amend a claim made just six clear days before trial was refused. The amendment sought to introduce a new cause of action which had not previously been pleaded, and which would cause the trial to be adjourned if it were to be permitted. In those circumstances, it was not appropriate to permit the late amendment. Christopher Snell, Barrister at No5 Chambers (London), considers the case.
