The Pensions Regulator has reported that Stephen Smith and David Boardman, who were trustees of the Worthington Employee Pension Top Up Scheme, are set to appear at Preston Crown Court over allegations of making illegal loans and investments. Appearing at Preston Magistrates’ Court on 19 October 2022, the two men were accused of making five prohibited loans from the scheme and one prohibited investment.
