Directors and officers (D&O) insurance covers directors, officers, executives and senior management against claims brought against them personally in respect of alleged acts or omissions committed in their capacity as a director or officer of a particular company. This includes claims brought by the company itself, including shareholders bringing a claim in the name of the company or by its liquidator. D&O insurance may also cover the costs of dealing with regulatory or criminal investigations, as well as claims by third-parties.
