70.2 Offences created by the Bribery Act 2010

The Bribery Act 2010 creates four different offences1:

  1. (a)

        making a bribe—active bribery;

  2. (b)

        requesting, agreeing to receive, or accepting a bribe—passive bribery;

  3. (c)

        bribing a foreign public official; and

  4. (d)

        failing to prevent bribery on behalf of a commercial organisation.
