70.5 Bribery of foreign public officials

70.5 Bribery of foreign public officials

A person (‘P’) commits an offence if P bribes a foreign public official with the intention of influencing the foreign public official in that capacity1. P must also intend to obtain or retain business or an advantage in the conduct of a business (which includes a trade or profession)2.

The act of bribery of a foreign public official requires the following conditions to be fulfilled:
