A relevant commercial organisation will be guilty of an offence under Section 7 of the Bribery Act 2010 if a person associated with the organisation bribes another person with the intention of:
obtaining or retaining business for the organisation; or
obtaining or retaining an advantage in the conduct of business for the organisation1.
The offence is committed by the relevant commercial organisation (and not the associated person2) and will arise whether or not the associated person is itself or would be guilty or charged with one of the direct offences.
