459 Introduction

The Crop Residues (Burning) Regulations 1993 prohibit and restrict the burning of crop residues on agricultural land and set out exemptions. The burning of cereal straw and stubble, residues of field beans and peas harvested dry, and the burning of oil seed rape are prohibited by the Regulations1.
