MLex has reported that a website owner in Spain has been fined €10,000 by the Spanish Data Protection Authority for breaching Article 6 of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (EU GDPR). The controller did not have the legal basis to process the claimant's telephone number, which appeared in an online advertisement, the regulator said.
