MLex has reported that an unnamed person has been fined €3,000 by the Spanish Data Protection Authority for violating Articles 6 and 13 of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (EU GDPR). They had installed a video and audio surveillance system in their business establishment that lacked a proper legal basis for data processing and sufficient information on how data was collected and processed, the regulator said.
