Article summary
The International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) has published a video on the replacement of its 2006 ISDA Interest Rates Definitions booklet. The 2021 ISDA Interest Rates Derivatives Definitions will include the supplements made to the 2006 ISDA Definitions, consolidating them and amending them to better reflect the current interest rate derivatives markets. The 2021 definitions will be published on 17 May 2021 and will be implemented on 4 October 2021. The 2006 definitions will therefore remain the market standard for interest rates derivatives trades until the close of business on 1 October 2021.
