The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has made a statement responding positively to the government laying the Age Appropriate Design Code, otherwise known as the Children's Code, before Parliament. Welcoming the move, ICO said that it was a huge step towards protecting children online. The Children's Code is required under section 123(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018).
