The Home Secretary has published details of a 'New Plan for Immigration', which primarily covers proposed reforms to the asylum system, but also includes proposed changes relating to appeals, judicial review, nationality and enforcement. An engagement/consultation process will run for six weeks and will close at 11.45 pm on 6 May 2021. A summary of the main proposals is set out below, with the exception of the proposed measures on modern slavery.
