The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has launched a campaign to help businesses adapt to new labelling laws for prepacked for direct sale food. As part of the campaign, the FSA has published a variety of informational material and resources to assist businesses in England, Wales and Northern Ireland check if they are affected by the changes and what they need to do to prepare. The new laws which come into force on 1 October 2021 ‘will help protect food hypersensitive consumers by requiring potentially life-saving allergen information on the label of prepacked for direct sale food’.
