The Department for International Trade has published details of the first UK-ASEAN Economic Dialogue, which was held virtually amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on 26 August 2020. The meeting was set up to ‘strengthen economic cooperation between the UK and ASEAN and bolster economic recovery efforts amidst the COVID-19 pandemic’. In attendance were economic ministers and officials from the ten ASEAN member states as well as the ASEAN Secretary General, Dato Lim Jock Hoi.
