DCMS publishes economic estimates of its sectors that contributed to UK economy

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) has issued economic estimates of the number and size of businesses within the DCMS sectors, highlighting its contribution to the UK economy. Other economic measures such as employment, trade and gross valued added (GVA) have also been made available in different publications. The releases are an effort to support stakeholders when seeking to evaluate tangibly the economic contribution made by the DCMS sectors, different to National Account sectors, so they may better understand how current and future policies may have an efficient impact. DCMS has clarified that the estimates, which are from 2018, are of a provisional nature and subject to revisions.
