Article summary
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has opened a consultation on its provisional decision to accept ITV’s proposal to change some of the time length factors it uses when calculating the cost of advertisements on ITV1 in order to harmonise factors used across the different ITV regions. The CMA consulted on the proposal from June to July 2022 and received one response from the Incorporated Society of British Advertisers. It made a provisional decision to accept the proposal because it does not consider that the change would have a negative effect on competition or consumers. The consultation on the provisional decision will take place until 5 pm on 20 September 2022.
