205 Cycle paths

Local highway authorities are authorised to redesignate by order particular footpaths as ‘cycle tracks’1. The public then have rights of way over those footpaths on pedal cycles and on foot2. The full procedures for doing so are contained in the Cycle Tracks Act 1984.
