210 Protection and management of commons

A number of actions in respect of commons are prohibited unless the prior consent of the appropriate authority has been obtained, for example the erection of any building or fence, or the construction of any other work which prevents or impedes access to the land. In addition to the more usual acts of enclosure, this would include such matters as constructing car parks, sports pavilions and public conveniences1.
