176 Licensing provisions

176.1 Licences

A licence may be granted by Natural England or the Natural Resources Body for Wales1 authorising a person:

  1. 176.1.1

        for scientific or educational purposes or for the conservation of badgers to kill or take within an area specified in the licence by any means specified, or to sell, or to have in his possession, any number of badgers specified or to interfere with any badger sett within the said area by means specified;

  2. 176.1.2

        for the purpose of any zoological gardens or collection specified in the licence to take within an area specified in the licence
