13 Television and radio sponsorship

13.1 General

Section 9 of the Office of Communications (‘Ofcom’) Broadcasting Code1 sets out the rules applicable to the sponsorship of television and radio programmes and gives effect in the United Kingdom to a number of requirements relating to television sponsorship in the ‘Television Without Frontiers’ Directive2 and the Council of Europe Convention on Transfrontier Television3.
