16 The Medicines Advertising Codes of the Proprietary Association of Great Britain

The Medicines Advertising Codes of the Proprietary Association of Great Britain (‘PAGB’) are concerned with the advertising of ‘over-the-counter’ non-prescription medicines. The PAGB Consumer Code deals with advertising aimed at consumers. Member companies of the PAGB are required to submit all material relevant to the advertising and promotion of their products to consumers for PAGB clearance under the Consumer Code. The PAGB Professional Code relates to advertising aimed at persons qualified to prescribe and supply.
