Sopra Steria has updated its website on 2 July 2020 to confirm that it is releasing additional appointments to individuals who registered with UK Visas and Citizenship Application Services (UKVCAS) after 27 March and on or before 30 April 2020. Where an individual is required to attend a biometric enrolment appointment, they should receive an email before 4 July 2020 with instructions on the next steps. Separately, the Home Office has announced a new policy whereby certain customers will be able to reuse their biometrics, and will not be required to attend an appointment. The Home Office is 'currently working to identify those customers that are eligible to use this new approach' and 'further details will be available over the next few weeks'.
