MLex has reported that an unnamed Spanish property owners' association has been fined €300 by the Spanish Data Protection Authority for violating Article 5(1)(c) of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (EU GDPR) by processing data via video surveillance system. The cameras were oriented toward public spaces in breach of the principle of data minimisation, the regulator said.
